Abstract
Con los datos obtenidos en trabajos de campo en El Salvador, realizados en el periodo de 1978 a 1980, Judith Maxwell saca conclusiones bastante diferentes a las del autor precedente, tanto en lo que se refiere a la extensión y al carácter vivo de la lengua náhuatl pipil, cuanto a la significación y al impacto del movimiento de resistencia y reafirmación indígenas, aunque, según esta autora, uma de las consecuencias del conflicto bélico actual podrían consistir en llevar a término la obra de demolición emprendida en 1833 y 1932 (NDLR de la revista ethnies).In all cases, authors will retain the moral rights established by law and they will yield the right of first publication of their article to the journal.
