Abstract
Les nombreux travaux académiques menés consécutivement à l’émergence du secteur de la microfinance ont quasi-exclusivement adopté le cadre d’analyse fourni par la théorie de l’information développée dans les années 1970 par le courant de l’économie néo-institutionnelle. Complétant cette approche qui n’appréhende que les obstacles auxquels est confrontée toute offre de services financiers et qui se traduisent par l’exclusion d’une large frange de la population et en particulier des populations pauvres, le livre de Jean-Michel Servet aborde la question à rebours.
