Abstract
The spanish missionaries and conquistadores chronicles of the 16th and 17th centuries A.D. allow an ethnohistorical study of the chichimecas populations who lived beyond the northemborder, of Mesosmerica. The example of the Guachichiles and the pames around San Luis Potosi and Rio Verde enables us to revive the political, social and cultural organization of the nomads chichimecas known as barbarous and primitive tribes. Some complex and precise relations united them. They knew how to dominate their environment and the magic world in which they lived gave then some grasp over it.In all cases, authors will retain the moral rights established by law and they will yield the right of first publication of their article to the journal.
