Abstract
1.- Durante el año en curso, un reconocimiento arqueológico fue efectuado en Belize por R.S. MacNeish y J.K. Wilkerson (financiado por la N.S.F.), en colaboración con A. Nelken-Terner (C.N.R.S.). Estos trabajos preliminares permitieron localizar 230 hallazgos o sitios precerámicos, El examen de las colecciones de superficie proporcionadas por 80 de estos sitios, así como del material arrojado por excavaciones estratigráficas realizadas en unas pocas calas de sondeo, ha permitido elaborar una secuencia cultural preliminar que habrá de ser confirmada y/o consolidada mediante investigaciones posteriores que proponemos aquí.In all cases, authors will retain the moral rights established by law and they will yield the right of first publication of their article to the journal.
