Abstract
Entre los años 1991 y 1995 se produjo en México una coyuntura política que permitió una serie experiencias de organización campesina con la influencia del Programa Nacional de Solidaridad. Para el estado de Campeche esta coyuntura culminó en la Reserva de la Biosfera de Calakmul y en la creación de una organización campesina, el Consejo Regional de Xpujil. Durante esos años, esta región contó con un fuerte apoyo político federal y estatal, así como con una inversión modesta pero nunca antes vista en la zona y con varios equipos de asesores y técnicos de Solidaridad.
