Abstract
Hace ya muchos años que la Sociedad Unificadora de la Raza Indígena tuvo que cambiar su nombre por el de Sociedad Unificadora y Moralizadora de la Raza Mexicana, debido a los fuertes ataques de que fue objeto por aquellos que se oponían a la existencia de grupos o partidos a favor de una raza o un credo religioso. Aunque esta organización no tenía más propósito que facilitar alojamiento y comida a los indios que llegaban a la ciudad a realizar algún trámite agrario, se vio obligada a cambiar su filosofía por la del solidarismo social y no centrar su atención en la problemática exclusiva de los indios.
