Abstract
El lector está advertido desde el inicio. El libro La construcción social de riesgos y el huracán Paulina, no pretende ser un trabajo sobre el huracán Paulina en sí mismo, sino una propuesta que toma el caso para analizar la complejidad de procesos que construyen los desastres. Es pertinente repetirlo, los desastres no son naturales, son “la correlación entre fenómenos naturales peligrosos –como un terremoto, un huracán, un maremoto, etc.– y determinadas condiciones socioeconómicas y físicas vulnerables –como una situación económica precaria, viviendas mal construidas, tipo de suelo inestable, mala ubicación de la vivienda, etc.–” (Romero y Maskrey 1993: 7-8).
In all cases, authors will retain the moral rights established by law and they will yield the right of first publication of their article to the journal. The work is to be registered under the Creative Commons license, which will allow the author or other parties to use what has been published, provided the authorship of the work and the first publication conducted by the magazine are rightfully cited. Similarly, authors should include a link referring to the site of the original publication.
