Abstract
Tepito: lugar mítico. Después que Oscar Lewis escribiera Los hijos de Sánchez, el mundo entero conoce el nombre de este barrio de México. Sobre él ha surgido toda una “imaginería del rechazo”, como robo, prostitución, pobreza, droga, inseguridad. Muchos mexicanos nunca han puesto un pie en Tepito, por miedo o por el gusto de sentirse diferentes. Las clases medias y la alta burguesía ignoran orgullosamente o rechazan con desprecio este barrio populoso y popular.In all cases, authors will retain the moral rights established by law and they will yield the right of first publication of their article to the journal.
